More about QMSC

Just West of London the Sailing Club enjoys 700 acres of water and is the largest inland reservoir in the south east of England. Whether you are a beginner or a top racer, whatever your age you will find a warm welcome at the club. For over 40 years Queen Mary has been a special patch of water for sailing and windsurfing members and guests, membership at Queen Mary is ideal for racing or just having fun. We are here to help you starting with our RYA Training School to enjoy regular sailing all year round.

  • Situated just to the west of London on the Surrey/Middlesex border we are ideally located for anyone within the Home Counties looking for somewhere to sail or windsurf. The club is professionally staffed with safety at all times that the water is open, and our staff will be delighted to show you around the club and explain membership options to you. You will not be expected to do duties in the galley or on the safety boats as this is all done professionally, but there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in club life.
  • The club is also host to many sailing events for different classes of boat and hold its own Youth and Members regatta throughout the year. The most famous race the club is recognised for is the 'The Bloody Mary' which has been organised every year for over 40 years and is the UKs largest inland Pursuit sailing race with often over 400 competitiors taking part. As a member you can sail whenever the club is open, store your boat or board in the boat park, use the club house facilities, and attend club social events.
  • For more details including information on membership please visit our club website.
